Subject: Identify this eighties song

Written By: Andrea on 05/06/05 at 10:15 pm

I've asked everyone I know about this song and nobody has a clue.  Male band, early eighties. Lyrics were something like

"We're gonna rock how 'bout you
dont you sit on your ass and don't you be no fool
we're gonna rock, how 'bout you
don't need a class you don't need no school."

Help!

That lyric should be:

Don't you sit on your a** and don't you be no fool.

Didn't know  I'd get censored.

ARGHH!!!!  I know that song!!!  But I'll be dammed if I can think of the name either.  I tryed some lyric searchs on the net to no avail either.  If it comes to me I'll post back.  But I too seem to remember it now after seeing your post.

The song was "We're Gonna Rock" by "The Look."  I'm sure the video is on YouTube by now, probably along side some other one-and-out forgotten videos like "President Am I" (Slow Children), "Your Daddy Don't Know" (Toronto), or "My Girl" (Chillowack).  I remember the video as beyond low budget, but I thought the drummer's "Peter North" drum kit, and the lead singer's mirrored aviation sunglasses were so cool...
