I saw on "E True Hollywood Story" that Rebecca Schaeffer's (My Sister Sam) killer in 1988 was also a fan of Debbie's because of her innocence. He tried to find her, but luckily she was so busy on tour he couldn't get to her. Rebecca's murder was a tragedy, I bet she would be such a great movie star today.

Though I'm not familiar with Rebecca Schaffeur, but a stalker also claimed the life of legendary singer/songwriter John Lennon. :( :\'(
