Believe it or not, she also had an album out in the '80's like Eddie Murphy, Don Johnson, etc. ::) :D :P
Does anybody remember? Even if it was really awful...

Wow, I didn't know that. I found this on imdb: Had 5 albums released in Japan which all went platinum. These were titled Alyssa, Look In My Heart, Best in the world, Locked In a Dream, and Do You See Me?
Well, I dunno about her talent but she's damn beautiful 8)

Yeah, I remember she had albums overseas. I also remember a rumor going around at the time that the reason she didn't release them in the U.S. was because she was already "too big". Not sure if this is true.
I think this was around the time she had her "Teen Steam" video out. The commercials for this workout video were always on.
