Can anybody tell me what this song is about? I love it but what does he mean when he says: "The greatest romance that's ever been "sold"...???????? Sold??? What is that all about?? Can ANYBODY please explain!

Really? U think it's about a prostitude???
I thought it was about something like the bible cuz the lyrics mention adam and eve. I've heard that he is a christan and that he likes to write about god in his lyics. Like on that song "I would die 4 U".....
