Subject: 80's toy? Little purple ball people with connecting houses??

Does anybody know what I'm talking about?
I had this while growing up. They were purple balls of men and women, each ball with a face. They had "houses" that looked more like little treetop houses you could stack on top of each other.
Also, they had green long aisles you can connect the houses with. Then you can roll the people on these slides to the connected houses.

Only thing I cna think of is weebles. :-\\ They had a treehouse...

aahh! Almost... Not quite. These didn't look anything like actual humans. Just some funny purple ball people. Ahaha!
They also had a well where you could lower one of them down.

I had weebles. After ahile the insides of them would shrivel or wahtever though....I never knew why.
