Subject: 80s bands from 'Down Under'

Written By: Carl on 10/19/05 at 3:11 pm

Men At Work is the obvious with many hits, me and my brother LOVED their 'Business As Usual' album.

I also remember the group Icehouse being from Austrailia. That song 'Hey Little Girl' was catchy

I'm sure we got more

Very tragic indeed  :\'( Pretty shocked when I heard that

Never knew that Moving Pictures (hit with 'What About Me?') was from there too.

It's amazing how lots of these bands/artists do so well in countries other than the U.S. :-\\ The Divinyls' only U.S. hit was "I Touch Myself" from the early 90's.

They had a few others, but "I Touch Myself" was the only one that went top 40

Some may also remember a heavy metal band called Heaven that toured America with Kiss and Judas Priest. Dio and Lita Ford recorded parts on their album "Where Angels Fear to Tread".

Also, Rick Astley is not Australian. :)
