Hey Everyone,
I lived my teens and early twenties in twenties in the 80s. So I was going through my old pics a few months back and came across my 80s stash and fell over laughing!! What a great decade!!
I was in a number of local L.A. bands back then so I have some pretty choice band shots from the time...Shinny jackets, eyeliner, big hair, massive hairspray...the whole deal...and I looked like that daily...and so did my friends!
Anyway...it got me thinking other people from the time must have some good pics as well so I got inspired and built this site with my buddy:

The site has only been up for a few weeks so if you enjoy it...spread the word...and if you have any pics please put them up. The biggest challenge so far is people finding their old pics and gettin' 'em up there. It's all just for fun so go enjoy it!!

Cool pics. And, I agree, you guys looked like the LA verison of D2. I'm from Santa Monica originally myself. What part of LA are you from?
BTW, who are the three gals in the "teenybop" pic? Friends of yours? That's a cool pic also.

Hey BCRichrocker,
I'm glad you like the site! Yeah Duran were my idols back then. Richard Blade used to call us LA's Duran on KROQ. I grew up in Palos Verdes...class of 1986 :)
I don't know who the girls are in that pic...people from all over the place have been uploading pics to the site...it's a great shot though!! If you have any pics put them up!!

That is a very cool site...I loved your hair too! I wish guys still looked like that. That, they actually put the time and effort in to their appearance like they did in the 80's. It seems to me that everyone has gone down the tubes. You looked like Michael Damien...the 80'sProm guy looks like Robert Downey Jr.
I don't have any 80's pictures that were professionally taken like that, that look as nice as those.
I have posted pictures on here though on the other thread of me in the 80's.

Wow... Michael Damien...there's a name I haven't heard in a while. Yeah I actually used to have people come up to me in the 80s and as for a autograph thinking I was him :) Ah what fun times those were!!
Well...you don't need a professional pic to put up on iwasso80s.com any pic of yourself from the 80s will do....anyways I'm glad you guys are having fun with the site.

Oh...I found a great pic a my parents over the weekend. Long story but Burt was there because I was working with a singer he discovered at the time.
