I love and remember all of these songs, but I vote for Wave Babies.

They were Canadian. They weren't real big stars in America, but they still had a small following. They had 4 hits on Billboard, the lone top 40 of which was 'Feel it Again' (The other hits were New Girl Now, What Does it Take and Love Changes Everything). 'What Does it Take' is from the John Cusack movie 'One Crazy Summer' :)

I think the only tune of theirs I'm familiar with is "New Girl Now". I remember the video where the singer phones the ex from a phone booth outside her apartment.
