I went to Best Buy tonight and ended up looking through the 80's miscellaneous section. One 80's compilation had Alphaville's "Forever Young" on it. That and "Big in Japan" are the the only two songs by them that I really remembered. I later found the full Alphaville Forever Young CD there and decided to buy it since I had most of the other songs that were on the compilation disc. Glad I did-that CD's just too good! I can't believe I didn't come across it back when it was out. Every track, IMHO, is an eight or better out of ten. It almost feels like it's a new band that just came out and I'm hearing it for the first time. Makes me wonder how much more 80's music is out there that I need to "discover" yet. The song "Fallen Angel" is the one I'm currently wearing off of the CD. Totally geeked/stoked on the find!!!

Alphaville had an unforgettable melodies. May I know which one is the best: Forever Young in Original Version or in the Long Version? The slow one or the upbeat one?

I really like Alphaville! They had such a great, unique sound. I loved it when they played "Forever Young" during the prom scene in the movie Napoleon Dynamite... :)

I like them both too much but when I hear it in my head I hear the slow version so that must be the best ;)
