My buddies and I used to mix fruit drinks with Everclear, and how about Purple Passion.  Im sure glad I don't do that anymore, but it was fun then.

I'm a fermenter and I presently have 15 gallons of apple cider fermenting with champagne yeast, brown sugar, and raisens. Once it is done, it will be a 18% alcohol wine that I "Jack" three times. (freeze and pour off the liquid- discarding the ice)
Result? "APPLE JACK" A 66% alcohol high test "wine". Very warm and tastey!!

Lets not forget the ever popular Lemon Gin - notorious for it's "panty removing" properties.  I never drank it, I liked my panties on!

I remember in the late 80s in Australia Wine Coolers were really popular. They just tasted like tropical fruit juice. The 2 most popular ones were & possibly the only 2 were Tropicana & West Coast Cooler.

I remember for awhile Jukon Jack (The Black Sheep of Canadian Liquors) was really big.  I can still find it now, but it doesn't seem to be a big thing anymore.

The mention of wine coolers made me think of this:

Mistic--It's not an alcoholic drink, it only LOOKS like one.

http://www.grocerycouponnetwork.com/images/food-products/Mistic_Caribbean_Kiwi_Fruit_Drink.jpg

You don't know how many times I got yelled at and my folks got funny looks when I was a child drinking this cause people thought it was alcohol. (It didn't help that I'd stagger around, pretending to be drunk--at 8 years old--singing "How Dry I Am")
And my cousin bought a cooler full of them once and had a sheesh fit when she realized it was not a real wine cooler.

BTW--what goes into a "Harvey Wallbanger"?

This one is right down my alley.

Long Island Iced Tea, Fuzzy Navels, Brown Cows, Melon Balls, Harveys Wallbanger, Rye & Ginger Ale, Jamaiican Rum, Cinzano, Rum and Coke, Black Russians, Wine Coolers, Lowenbrau Beer, Sambuca,  Tuborg Beer, Heineken Beer, and then the shots (Orgams, abortion, long slong comfortable screws, etc...)

Have tried them all back in the 70s and 80s.

I still drink Fuzzy Navels.

When I was in Greece, we used to have "bomb runs" where we would drink B52s.

And man, did we get bombed!

for me in the 80s:
Busch Light, bottle
Kamikaze: vodka, triple sec and Rose's lime juice
Fuzzy Navel: peach schnapps and orange juice, with or without the vodka
Or a dr. pepper from hell

And if you were broke, you got together with your friends and made Jungle Juice. Whatever alcohol you had +kool aid.  ;D or Boones Farm.

in the late 70's, early 80's I drank Lancers and Mateus wines with dinner. This stuff was fancy compared to the wines from the 70's that all had screw caps. These had corks in the bottles! I had to learn how to use a corkscrew  :D  They were both fairly cheap, under $10 a bottle
