Subject: Dan Seals

Written By: whistledog on 12/08/05 at 10:24 pm

Does anyone remember Dan Seals?  In the 70's, he was best known as England Dan, one half of the popular duo England Dan and John Ford Coley.  When the duo parted ways in 1980, he went solo and that same year, reached #57 on the pop charts with a song called "Late at Night".

From 1985-1990, he had 10 #1 hits as a Country Singer, the biggest of which was Bop, which even crossed over to the pop charts in 1986 where it reached #42

OK, yeah. After playing that clip of Bop I do remember him doing country. I really didn't listen to much radio in the 80's. I was too busy protecting Americans from that spooty Communist hoard thingy.

I have "Bop" by Dan Seals on CD (from a download)

"I want to bop with you baby, all night long.. B Bop to the break of dawn..." lol.

It was a cute song that I believe charted in 1986.
