Subject: 80s reebok high tops

Written By: Erick on 12/23/05 at 1:59 am

Where can I find some white reebok high tops? Do they still make the old school style reebok high tops? They don't have to be originals. Please give me a link or tell me where to buy them.

I can only suggest Ebay... which will have them. Otherwise do a Google search.

I dont think they make them anymore. I always loved the 80's style of high tops. For some dumb reason, they stop making things that are good. :\'(

Hi-tops are actually back in fashion. You can get them from most high brand sports stores.

Its funny how all the kids these days want 80s clothes and music.  3 years ago they couldn't care less about 80s stuff.

Trendy brats.  Create your own trends instead of stealing from the past!

here's a crusty looking shoe (not mine)  http://rds.yahoo.com/_ylt=A0S020r9WvVI_NEACBujzbkF/SIG=12o2efhgc/EXP=1224125565/**http%3A//www.uiowa.edu/~c019130/student/brody_mike/assests/RedReeb.jpg

I always had the plain black Reebock high tops.  They were much more comfortable than Doc Martins and they still went well for black-on-black!

My hi-tops were LA Gear too. We used to tie them behind the tongue so it stuck out even more over your jeans.

Though I love the 80s, the fashion was questionable. You'd never catch me with a pair of hi-tops today.  ;D

Between they years 1984 to 1989 the sneakers were at the height of its popularity. In New York the sneakers cost $49.99 with tax $54.11 and that was the nickname we gave the hightops '54.11s'. I owned a pair of red ones which I think I wore everyday back in high school.

Geez, vague memories of my friend and her blue ones.  Haven't thought of those in years.  Some shops specialize in 80's stuff maybe you could find them there.

I really loved those Reebok and L.A. Gear hi-tops back in those days. For a few years, I usually had at least one of each.

Does anyone remember the late 80's ad campaign for Reebok's Lets U B U (you be you)?  I know Cybill Shepard (sp?) was an endorser, and vaguely remember her at an Emmy Awards (or something like it) sporting bright red Reebok hightops underneath her party dress.  Moonlighting was popular, may have ended its run right around then....as did Cybill.  David Addison (a young, slightly balding actor named Bruce Willis) was the coolest character on tv.  Actor portraying him did all right as well, I hear......
