The dance -synth sound was popular in the clubs I remember groups like New Order, Depeche Mode, Erasure, Information Society, and Pet Shop boys, What was yours?

I liked the harder "Industrial Dance/EBM" stuff like Front 242, Skinny Puppy, Nitzer Ebb, Sisters of Mercy, Frontlne Assembly, KMFDM and Ministry.

There was this Dutch project called Video Kids which I grew up on and still like.

I'm changing my answer. My favourite of the 80's is Lime. They had many great songs that I still love today :)
