was the 1983 hit "Cry Just A Little Bit" by Shakin' Stevens a cover song? I can't seem to find any information about it

Sylvia remade it and took it to the top 10 on the Billboard country charts

'Cry Just A Little Bit' is a song that I remember quite well from my youth, which means it was a popular hit here in Canada, something that I always thought, but was never too sure of :)
