I kind of like "Too Much, Too Little, Too Late" the best :)

I was debating between "Without Us" and "Let's Hear It For The Boy." The latter won.

I'm partial to "It's Gonna Take A Miracle"... :)

'Free' was a nice, inoffensive piece of fluff...

I think she was still a member of Stevie Wonder's backing group when she hit with this...

Just to keep up my reputation I voted "other". ::)

The first song that sprung to my mind thinking of Deniece Williams was "It's Your Conscience" (#15 in 1981), but apparently that wasn't a big hit in US and/or Canada.  ???

I think that one remained an R&B chart hit over here.  It never appeared in the Billboard Hot 100  :\'(

I hate to be boring but "Let's Hear it for the Boy". It is a great song, but it's also the only one I know.

I voted for "Too Much, Too Little, Too Late", her duet with Johnny Mathis... classic song!

For a while, that was the only one I knew too...until I heard "It's Gonna Take A Miracle" on the radio last year. So of those two, I'm leaning toward "It's Gonna Take A Miracle."

I love her

Too much, too little, too late is probably my fave
but Gonna take a miracle is also one of my faves

Let's hear it for the boy always puts me in mind of Footloose where Christopher Penn is learning how to dance.  Classic scene.

I like her late '70s and early '80s stuff the best.

Favorite
Free (1976) -- recorded with Earth, Wind and Fire.

And these
It's Gonna Take a Miracle (1982)
Black Butterfly (1984)

Besides her pop/soul career Deneice Williams has done a couple of gospel albums. In 1989 she released "Special Love" on Sparrow Records, and in my opinion it's close to being her best ever effort. It features her take on "His Eye Is On The Sparrow" as well as great ballad "Healing" and "I'm Free". The latter featuring good sax work by Kirk Whalum.
Well worth tracking down  :)

I actually just saw that on cassette at Goodwill.  I was tempted to get it, but I may still go back and pick it up
