Subject: The Blues Brothers-What do you think?

I enjoyed the music, all the cameos from Ray Charles, James Brown (the ORIGINAL moonwalker btw), Aretha Franklin, just to name a few. It was surreal, as most films, but WAY out there!! The car chase in the mall is what probably stands out the most for me. A good film in my view.

The Blues Brothers is everything that's good and decent in this country. I love the bit where Elwood's psycho ex-girlfriend levels his apartment while he's inside. 8) During a high school trip to Chicago, a downtown mall was pointed out to me as the place where they had the car chase scene. Dunno if it's true, but it makes for a good story.
Oh yeah, the music was great, too.

That mall was knocked down a few years ago I believe.

Dan Aykroyd used to own a restaurant/bar called Aykroyd's that was right here in my hometown. Sticking out of the wall just above the entrance to the bar was the actual Blues mobile used in the movie 8)
