The 1986 film 'Labyrinth'? It was a Jim Henson production featuring puppets about a girl who has to navigate this labyrith to save her baby brother. The only reason it caught my eye because David Bowie acted and provided the soundtrack. Bowie's acting was...to be put it bluntly laughable...but the film sort of has some appeal for its camp value - it was cheesy, but by the standards of the 80s, perhaps not as cheesy as it could've been.

What makes it more interesting is that David Bowie was one of the three choices for Jareth. The other two were Michael Jackson and Sting.
