Madonna-Like a Virgin, Like a Prayer The first is the absolute Reagan-era pop CD (at first glance cheesy, at second glance insightful), the second is the closest a bestselling female singer has come to art in the past few decades. They also together broke taboos about sex and love and feminine identity unseen ever...I'm going to tag "Vogue" onto LAP.
Def Leppard-Pyromaniac...started hair metal.
