Subject: The group 'Chiliwack'

Who remembers them? They had some pretty good hits, I recall the song 'Watcha gonna do' from their Opus X LP

But my favorite is 'My Girl'. I just love that beat:

'Gone gone baby, your gone so long, gone gone gone so long'

Or something like that  ;D

I have heard about 3-4 songs of theirs, but the ones I like best are "Whatcha Gonna Do" and "My Girl (Gone, Gone, Gone)"

Decent group :0)

Like most 70's Canadian rock bands that are still existant today (like Trooper, Prism, April Wine ..), they mostly tour small venues and clubs with the hits that they have

Chilliwack made some good music. Only know a few of their tunes, but it's quality stuff, their music is.

Chilliwack initially formed as The C-Fun Classics in 1961, then became The Collectors in 1966.  Following the departure of original vocalist Howie Vickers in late 1969, guitarist Bill Henderson assumed lead vocals and the group changed their name to Chilliwack in 1970

Following several line-up changes, the group became it's most successful beginning in 1978 with the addition of Bryan MacLeod (who sadly passed away in 1992) and Ab Bryant.  In 1979, Bryant and MacLeod formed a side project called The Headpins that would eventually become an unexpected success.  In 1984, Chilliwack parted ways, but have re-grouped over the years for live shows

I remember seeing their album covers displayed along with others on the inner record sleaves of some of other group's album, and always wondered about how a band with the name "Chilliwack" would sound.

I never heard a song by them until "I Believe" in 1982.

Looks like the whole album is highly rated.
