And so the Eighties started.
Doesn't "Once in a Lifetime" by Talking Heads sort of say "People, this is the Eighties. Watch out, don't buy into the material world"? Or am I reading the song wrong?
It's such an original, genius song.
Same as it ever was.

One of my top 10 songs of the '80s, and I like how you pointed out that it's like a warning about the '80s.

That is a great song. What is even better is that there was this guy who absolutely broke my heart, he married someone else, more money, more dependent, more controlling, and one day woke up and the song is now the story of his life
