1989

1990 wasn't fair, how can Deborah Gibson's "Anything Is Possible" be ignored while Vanilla Ice, Nelson, Wilson Phillips, and that original Teg Nugent "Super Group" Darn Yankees were popular...

I would say 1989...I turned 20 and I got married that year.

On the personal side, 1990 was kinda sh**ty and hard for me, so I prefer 1989 there. Although pop culturally, '90 just seemed a little more "fun" if you know what I mean? Like it was a slight revert to "cheesier" music and atmosphere ("U Can't Touch This" for instance). 1989 felt more "serious".

What happened that was sh**ty for you. Did something happen to you at the age of 8 in 1990?

1989 for me.

Was 1990 kind of a crappy 1989? Or was it more like 1991?

Despite being an 80s boy I'd actually go for 1990... there was a fresh new vibe going on music wise and yes it was more like 1991 than 1989.

To me their indistinguishable - but going by music.etc I'd say 1989.
