Subject: Favorite part of the 80's

I like the late 80's, especially 1988 and 1989. I have a lot of good memories from that time.

I'm gonna change the parts and say '83 to '85. I'm basing this on the music and pop culture of the time.

I wanna say 1984-1986, but lately, I'm really into that early 80's pop rock sound. Hard to explain the exact sound, but for example, for anyone who's seen the skiing movie "Hot Dog", those songs that play during the party scene, besides the Duran Duran song. That style of music.

Hard to choose between mid and late.  I picked mid just because alot of great music was happening and the decade's persona really took shape.  And things were still changing, too.  Lots of great music and style the latter part, too.  Just more of a culmination rather than fulmination, is all.  But then, I'm biased because I was in the thick of it in HS in the mid, and changed to college in the late, including "flattening" my hair and letting it grow long, away from the short-hair tall spikes!

I chose the late '80s because I remember that time best.

Early 80s though the Mid was a really fun time...

Grade school politics were easier to negotiate than high shool politics...

Late 80s - I don't even want to think about...

I'm for the Early 1980s.

Mid-'80s: Too Whitney Houston.

Late-'80s: Too politically motivated.

After-'80s: Too far gone.
