Subject: Favorite movie of 1989

Written By: batfan2005 on 07/05/06 at 12:08 am

My favorite's are Batman, Ghostbusters II, and Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure. Oops! I didn't set the number of votes to 5. Is there a way to change that?

You can't select more than one when the poll looks like that.  You need to have squares next to the choices, not the multiple choice buttons.

In any event, my response is Batman.

Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade.

  Weakest of the three, though...

Well, you did ask us which one was our "favorite".  Wouldn't that indicate just 1?  :)

I just realized I screwed up in my last post.  What I meant was that he asked us what our favorite "Movie" was, not "Movies".  Usually that indicates only 1, right?

I accidentally focused on the wrong word in "Favorite" over "Movie"  ;D

Seeing as it's just one vote I went for Uncle Buck.

Ghostbusters 2 was a great sequel though.

I should have put "favorite movie(s)". Also, I forgot to set to maximum number of votes to 5 before I clicked "Post". Now I think it's too late to make any changes, unless there is a way that I don't know about.

I really love practically all of these, but I voted for Major League

I loved that scene where they find out Willie Mays Hayes didn't officially register, so they put his bed outside while he sleeps.  When he wakes up and sees that he's outside, he's like "Man, I got cut already?" ;D

gosh, it was so hard to choose....there were so many good movies....but, I had to pick, "Honey, I Shrunk The Kids".  This movie reminds me so much of my childhood/pre-teenage years, and it reminds me of sitting around with my sisters, watching movies, and other great memories of the late 80's/early 90's.

Well, The Little Mermaid was my favourite childhood movie. I remember seeing it in the theatre with perfect clarity, and I got it on VHS shortly thereafter and watched it almost every day... But I think that these days I'd have to go for Batman. :)

A lot of great movies came out of 1989, and it's one of the 1st years I clearly remember a good portion of them... I'd choose:

Batman
Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade
Heathers
Uncle Buck
The Little Mermaid

I broke my "Little Mermaid" tape within weeks of my 8th birthday (I got it in 1990 after it had been released on video). It drove me nuts. I used to examine the video and think, "What happened?" and then plug it in, hoping it may miraculously work - and it wouldn't do a thing!  :(

My vote goes to "other", specifically, Dream A Little Dream. Gotta love the Coreys. :)
