Subject: Cyndi Lauper on Good Day New York

Written By: velvetoneo on 08/04/06 at 11:10 am

This morning, Cyndi Lauper performed on Good Day New York, the New York morning news show. Her set included "Girls Just Wanna Have Fun", "Money Changes Everything", "Change of Heart", and "She-Bop", all off her 1984 classic She's So Unusual. However, there were no synthesizers (it being an outdoors sort of live performance.) I was surprised at the range of fans...the attendants were anywhere from 40 to like, 7. She looks good for 53!

Watching the morning news today really made me realize the extent to which "the '80s are back", with some very '80s looking fall styles being previewed (the ruffle shirts, shoulderpads with the military theme on women's jackets, leggings), and a Miami Vice commercial, along with the Cyndi Lauper guest appearance.
