Was pumping your fist into the air an 80s thing? I seem to recall seing it in the early 90s as well until it died out in 1995 maybe. My parents said peaple pumped their fists into the air in the 70s too but i dunno i wasnt around.

Pumping your fist in the air was invented in the middle ages as a means of shaking off the fleas which caused plague.
