I'm all about the action figure so it's...

The Ewok Village with any Star Wars action figures!

Worthy mentions for hours of fun... GI Joe (dreadnoks ruled), Thundercats, Asterix.

I also love my visual aids:-

I loved the big playsets too. I reckon my family could've afforded it, but I was always the conscientious child - so never asked for anything large scale. Big vehicles I did ask for though... X wing, GI Joe Snow Cat, Gi Joe Tanks etc.

I never had the ewok village as  a child, but at age 25 I decided to fulfill my childhood dreams and I bought one on-line! I sometimes take it out for a quick play...  ;D and it's on proud display in my study.

I used to love the Snake Mountain Playset for the Masters of the Universe figures.  It had a battery operated microphone in the shape of a snake atop of the mountain, that made your voice echo.  I had hours of fun with that thing  8)

They should have had more Pac man Action Figures that were modeled after
the saturday morning cartoons. That was a great cartoon.

I loved the cartoon too...

As for He-man, I had lots of He-man figures too but I hated the muscly poses. They never stood straight and looked weird with their knees bent and squatting.

I was a nerdy little kid, so one of the toys I remember actually playing with a lot was a Speak N Spell.

Me too! I would always take it on road trips. I bet my parents loved that.

Also a fan of the Big Wheel.

I searched online for a Speak N Spell game but all I came up with a simulator. It gives you 10 words to spell, they all start with A, and some of them repeat. But there is a way to play Cootie the game, another of my favorites, online. http://richgamer.com/game/1252/Cootie.html

They were easy to break too.  Their legs were held together through a thin piece of rubber  :\'(

The best  one ever had to be Barbie.....with a perm...if you wet her hair with cool water it would go straight and the opposite for warm water. She was dressed in a lovely sunflower yellow prom gown.

BIG HAIR FOREVER!!!

Anything having to do with cars were my favorite toys in the 80s..I wish I had my matchbox and hot wheels from the very late 70s to mid-80s. Also the accessories and playsets, like the racetracks and the "City" sets. Loved those. Other than that I thought traffic signs and signals were cool toys. I was a weird kid and weirder grown-up!
