Subject: Halloween Specials, 80s style/THE WORST WITCH
Written By: mikeydude25 on 09/04/06 at 5:31 pm
Can anyone help me out with a list of those Halloween specials that aired in the 80s/early 90s?
I know, of course, of the Peanuts special, but I'm looking for the more obscure ones that I might've forgotten.
I have a copy of THE WORST WITCH that i could transfer to dvd if anyone has anything to trade.
Thanks,
Mike

I like The Worst Witch because it had Tim (Dr. Frank-n-Furter) Curry and Diana (Mrs. Peel) Rigg. I also like Witch's Night Out-with the late :\'( Gilda Rader. There is also:
Holloween Town (and a few sequels), which were a bit later than then '80s
Frankenweenie (a Tim Burton film)
Hocus Pocus (again, after the 80s but I still loved it-Bette Midler is great)
Nightmare Before Christmas (another Tim Burton film and after the 80s)
The Halloween That Almost Wasn't (1979)
Cat

I remember "Disney's Halloween Treat special", which featured many animated shorts and was hosted by the magic mirror from Snow White. I think it aired in the 80's and 90's.

Here's a few Halloween specials:
Witch's Night Out- my personal fave!
Disney's Halloween Treat
The Worst Witch
The Watcher In the Woods (not your traditional Halloween movie, but if you see it on Halloween night, @ 11:59 p.m., Bette Davis will freak the hell outta ya!)
The Hallowwen That Almost Wasn't
The Nightmare Before Christmas
