I just found out about this, and I'm absolutely thrilled! It's about time they released this movie on DVD. Anybody else picking it up when it comes out?

It's been on DVD for some years now. They must releasing a special edtion DVD with new features. This is the 20th anniversary of the Movie.

oh i totally didnt know about this at all!! i have had it on VHS for years but that is definitely a tape that has seen its better days! i actually didnt even know it was on dvd at all, but then again i already had it so i guess i just wasnt looking. i am definitely going to have to get this though! thanks for the link to the trailer!! 11/07/06 is being marked on my calendar right now, so i dont forget the release date!! lol, i think all of us 80's kids should trip out our parents and ask for this for christmas... they will have flashbacks to 1986!!

Yeah, supposedly they've been planning DVD for awhile now. It totally caught me by surprise. Plus it makes me feel very old. I was just a kid when I first saw the movie, and now it's the 20th Anniversary already. But I'm just glad I can finally get it on DVD soon.
