Subject: Does anyone remember this toy fom the early 80's or late 70's?????

Does anyone remember a perfume maker toy? You would add water and "scents" to the bottle and then place it on the center mounted piece and turn the crank (I think) to spin it and make perfume. The scents were rose, gardenia etc. and if you left the "perfume" sitting around long enough the water would get all gross and brown. Does anyone remember the name or maker of this toy? The perfume Factory?
This is really bugging me. Hope someone can help.  -HP

It was called the Barbie Perfume Maker. It was released in 1978 and had five different scents including gardenia, rose, lilac, strawberry and ?.  I can't remember the fifth one.  my perfume never got brown and nasty but if I left the scent sticks in too long they would dissolve and make the perfume a lot stronger.  Hope this helps.

OMG! I remember wanting that and my mom refused to get it because she'd already bought me the Creepy Crawlers maker. LOL.
