Besides the usual suspects, I have to say a big thank you for Rubik The Amazing Cube (loved singing that as a kid), Rambo, Chuck bloody Norris who's cartoon I loved and Teen Wolf.

The Get-along Gang had one catchy theme too!

The faves which go without saying... Jem, Thundercats, Ewoks, GI Joe... oh hell they're all good!

Wow. The scary thing is just how clearly I remember some of these upon seeing them again .... For example, I hadn't thought of the Legend of Zelda intro in years and years. I had completely forgotten what it looked like. But as soon as I watched that clip, I didn't just remember it - I remembered every single tiny detail. It's completely familiar. Every image and all the dialogue came back to me just like I was watching it in 1989, and I wasn't expecting that at all.

It just goes to show how much useless crap is stored deep in our memories, even from when we're little kids... just waiting for the right visual triggers to come racing right back to the forefront of our minds.  :D I think that's quite impressive.

The Littles

I just noticed that "The Dukes" intro I put in there was with Coy and Vance Duke, so I also included the intro with Bo and Luke :)

Very impressive list :). Even though I was born in the '80s I still remember quite a few shows on this list. Mainly the ones that countinued into the early '90s(like Garfield, Ducktales, Ninja Turtles, The Real Ghostbusters).

My favourite cartoons are very slanted toward the late '80s (Gummy Bears, Muppet Babies, The Raccoons, Rescue Rangers, etc.) and early '90s (TaleSpin was awesome) because those are what I watched as a kid. I remember a few that were earlier (like He-Man, She-Ra, and My Little Pony) better than I expected, so I'm guessing I must have watched them in syndication in the late '80s. When were you born, out of curiosity? :)

I was born in 1987, so I didn't really get to see alot of the shows that ended before the '90s began(except for re-runs of course). Alot of the shows on this list though continued well into the '90s, and some even aired for more years in the '90s than in the '80s(like Garfield).

You've got a nice collection Whistledog! I've also come across some of my old 80's VHS tapes & been recording them onto DVD with my Philips DVDR72 DVD Recorder.  :)

   Heya, Tet..!

Save A YouTube Clip - Scroll to the bottom of the page...

Note you'll save the file to disc as ".flv".  Just convert it to MPG to view in your media player, otherwise you'll need to download and install an FLV Player, which is horsepucky...

Total Video Converter really is the best for decoding and cleaning up YouTube vids...

If you have problems, feel free to ask me ?s groove ;) on...

    Edited to add:  I-ay ave-hay a-ay ack-cray or-fay he-tay ideo-Vay onverter-Cay, if you're interested...

Thanks Davester.

I'll see if my new computer has some sort of a mpg computer and try today!

;D

   Sorry, MPG computer..?

Edited to add:  Ok, I get it.  You meant converter.  No, the one I'm talking about is a downloadable proggy.  It's not mine, I swear..!  Saving the file to your 'puter sure beats having to view it on the YouTube console.  Some great (and rare) Captain Cosmic clips were taken down from YouTube (those farging bastiges @ Google, no doubt) after I had saved them to favorites.  I didn't save them to my 'puter...

  Unfortunate...

Looks better than some He-Man remakes, but yeah if I want to watch He-Man I'd stick to the original. Good effort though - here's the trailer...
