Subject: the person who finds this one is a GOD!

this has been bugging me for years!!!!
its a movie tv or feature film or afterschool special. Not sure which cuz I only saw the commercial promotion for it but never saw the actual film/show. Probably came out in 85 - 88. I want to say 86 cuz that's when I graduated but I am not certain.
It was about a group of kids in school being debriefed after a friends suicide. I specifically remember seeing the kids sitting in a room (maybe in a circle) and talking about how they were impacted by the suicide.
I want to say that Peter DeLuise and Ami Dolenz (or Danielle Von Zwernick) were in it but I am not positive about this. I have searched them all at IMDB but no luck yet.
PLEASE! Put my brain to rest!

The only one I have been able to find is Permanent Record - but it has Keanu Reeves and not a single De Luise in it!
Good luck

Was it Listen to Me released in 1989 and was about a group of college debaters learn about the world, friendships, love, dreams and family in this warm, endearing drama? This did star Peter DeLuise.

definately not listen to me. The central issue to that film was abortion. although one of the characters contemplates suicide or maybe he did kill himself (i don't remember) this wasn't a major event for the film

THANKS TIM... I think you and Spaceace get to share the title. I'd already netflixed it and should have it tomorrow. For some reason I really thought it had been a movie guess that's why I could never find it! I have always remember that commercial and have wanted to see it for the last 20 years.
By the way Tam. Netflixed Permanent Record just in case and it wasn't the film. Fair warning to any Keanu Reeves fans out there WORST FILM EVER! gag it was poorly written and even worsely acted... is worsely a word? It should be!
Save yourself the agony and pain. Fortunately I get to watch movies at work so while its 90 minutes I'll never get back at least I got paid time & half (thanksgiving day) to watch it!
