How does the 1982 movie White Dog end?

Alas, the dog gets shot, after trying to kill some one.
All of that trying to train the dog, not to attack, was for nothing.
The ending was pretty sad, and may I add the man who train the dog, to attack in the first place, was a jerk.

Yeah being a Lynne Moody fan I was pretty pissed when the dog attacked her! Don't even get me started about the ending to Nightmare in Badham County!
