"Love" and "Electric" were the two Cult albums I enjoyed in high school. Electric had "Love Removal Machine" and "Wild Flower" which I have since made fun of in drunk sing-a-longs with people, but they were good songs...
I just recall how my friend Alex stopped wearing his Cult shirt when Electric came out, ha..!. Maybe it was that cover of "Born to be Wild" that killed their appeal for him...
Now, the list was a toss-up between "She Sells Sanctuary" and "Resurrection Joe" groove ;) on...

"Wild Flower" has always been my favourite. I picked up the 12" single for "Sanctuary MCMXCIII" thinking it was this breakbeat remix I heard on Energy FM a few times but I think that may actually be the DMC remix I'm looking for.

So as long as we're here, does anyone remember a white-label (it couldn't have ever been released commercially) remix of "Love Removal Machine" that featured a recording from some random phone sex line dubbed overtop of the music? It got semi-regular play (during the wee hours of the morning) on at least one college radio station, but that's about all I remember about it.

I guess I haven't voted yet, let alone even seen this poll. Anyway, my pick is "She Sells Sanctuary". When I first heard that song I could hardly understand some of the words. Now I think it's my fave of theirs. O0

Definitely She Sells Sanctuary. Love Removal Machine a close second.
Ceremony was a GREAT album. More epic in style. Not really any songs worthy of being singles.

My Favorite Cult song has to be Bangkok Rain off of Ceremony. It is a full bore Hard Rocker!!!

I loved Edie.. Ciao baby... Firewoman was a great song.. Reminds me of my youth, They were such a huge band. Is the Cult still together?

I loved them until Electric, when they got all "hard rock". I went to their concert when they opened for some hair band. Ian Astbury was quite a show man. *leather pants*
I picked Rain, because it brings back good times . Although I like the whole of LOVE.

My favourite is Spiritwalker with Sanctuary a close second. I think the latter was overplayed which spoilt it a bit IMO

I prefer the old Southern Death Cult and Death Cult days. Listen to Moya from the first album.
