I choose other, "Detour Through Your Mind" from the Bouncing Off the Satellites album.

I love the lyrics:
A flash of blinding light and we're in an elegantly appointed doctor's office
It seems that doctor Aron Butterfly wants to dip us in plaster
And use us for bookends
We say to the doctor, "No, please, no!"
And then we get the doctor's bill, what a shock!
$16,000! and all he wanted to do was dip us in plaster!

Who am I? Where have I been? Where am I going? Do I need any luggage? Can I take my mother?

I need to leave my past behind
I need to leave my behind in the past
;D :D

I never voted in this.  I like 'Rock Lobster' the best.  Growing up, it was not a song that I really cared for, but over the years, it grew on me.  Now it's awesome!

Singer Kate Pierson appears as duet vocalist on the 1991 R.E.M. hit 'Shiny Happy People'.  If only that could be considered a B-52s song, I would vote for that in a heartbeat.

I picked "Rock Lobster".  "Roam" is a close second for me.

ROCK LOBSTER

Surf guitar, electric organ, and gobble-gobbling atonal backing vocals with Fred Schneider shouting the lead!

You need the album version for full effect:

"There goes a dog-fish, chased by a cat-fish, in flew a sea robin, watch out for that piranha, there goes a narwhal, here comes a bikini whale!  (Look out for that piranha)," etc. etc.
:)

Have to go with Rock Lobster. It soooo reminds me of high school. I remember trying to convince a girl I went to school with that there was such a song. I still find myself singing the verse:

We were at the beach and everyone had matching towels. Someone went under the dock and there they found a rock. It wasn't a rock. It was a ROCK LOBSTER!  :D ;D ;D ;D

I also like Private Idaho & Planet Claire. (How can you go wrong with lyrics like: Has anyone seen a dog dyed dark green?  :D ;D ;D ;D )

I love that song. I used it in a slide show of my step-son's wedding.

OOOH! That's one of my favorites, "Quiche Lorraine."

"The skies are charcoal gray/
It's a dreary downtown day.

But

At the end of my 30-foot leash/
Is my little dog Quiche...

QUICHE THE POODLE is her name!/
And having good time on a crummy day is our game!

But

OH NO! Here comes a Great Dane/
Trotting down the lane!

Quiche Quiche come back here!

Don't leave me!

I'll go IN --

SAAAAAANE!

How do you like that?

You mangy mutt!*

You see the key in my hand/
I'm gonna throw it in the lake!

Yeah, you been so rotten to me/
You take the cake!

Has anybody seen/
a dog dyed dark green?

About two inches tall/
With a strawberry blonde fall?

Sunglasses and a bonnet/
And designer jeans with appliques on it?
The dog that brought me so much joy/
Left me wallowing in pain!

QUICHE LORRAINE!"

Etc. Etc.

I cooked your food, I cleaned your house, and this is how you pay me back
for all my kind unselfish loving deeds.. Huh??
Well you just wait, they'll find you yet and when they do they'll put you
in the ASPCA, you mangy mutt!!!

"Legal Tender" followed by the earlier stuff (Rock Lobster, Planet Claire, Private Idaho etc.)

I have two copies of the Party Mix EP. "Party Out Of Bounds" and "Private Idaho" are fun to add flanging/phasing/echo EFX to on the fly.

Had the opportunity to see them in concert in Raleigh NC in 2003 but they stopped 2-3 songs in because of a big storm :P
