Subject: #1 Hits of the 80's

Written By: MrNostalgia on 05/11/07 at 10:39 am

Hey Guys.  Just though i'd share some more of my YouTube videos with you all.  I currently am putting together several videos that feature every #1 Hit from each year of the 80's (I'll soon do the 90's also).  Basically what I do is put clips from the actual music videos of that #1 hit with the date that it reached #1 as well.

So far i've got 1983 and 1984 uploaded and I plan on doing the rest soon.  Here are the links

#1 Hits of 1983 - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OjAF3mVhpT0

#1 Hits of 1984 - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PcZ5JBUfN5M

Oh, and I kind of got the inspiration to put these together from another user on YouTube who did the #1 Hits of 1986, here is the link to that video, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NSe_1W_T01I

And keep checking with my YouTube Profile page every once in a while for the new videos, here's my profile page, http://www.youtube.com/profile?user=MrNostalgia

Enjoy!  :)

Just a little update, i've gotten alot more uploaded since last time I posted.  Now i've gotten 1985, 1987 and 1988 up.  Here they are, and enjoy!  :)

1985 - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8XPcTnseaDA

1987 - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=38v0UHkFHNc

1988 - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DWzq5r5Sg7Y

It's incredible because as we got into the Late 80's, there were ALOT of different #1 hits.  For 1988, there were 32 different #1 hits (Compared to a year like 1995 which only had 12 different #1 hits, or 2005 which only had 7 different #1 hits)

Also, i've noticed that in 1988, alot of the songs had similiar sounds, as if they were all using the same instruments/devices to make their songs  ;D  With the exception of all the hair bands though like Guns N' Roses and Def Leppard
