Subject: The Bryan Adams Singles

Written By: whistledog on 05/29/07 at 9:52 pm

I combed the internet looking for a Bryan Adams singles discography, and the closest one I found was on wikipedia, but it's way incomplete, so I am the first to bring to you (minus a few missing chart peaks for Canada in the 00s) what should be the complete Bryan Adams Singles discography for North America and the UK.  Enjoy!

NOTE: Adams was the 3rd vocalist for Sweeney Todd.  'Roxy Roller' first hit the US chart at #90 with 2nd vocalist Clarke Perry.  The song was originally a #1 hit in Canada with original vocalist Nick Gilder.  All in 1976

He just sort of fell off the US chart completely.  I still can't figure out why

I have a feeling that the video to "The Only Thing That Looks Good On Me Is You" did it... he got a little too cocky... maybe due to his tremendous success.

"Summer of '69" is my favorite.  It's great because it's one rock'n'roll cliche after another all strung together!
;D

Every artist/group seems to have their heyday, and his apparently was the 1980's...where he had a long string of US hits...

I like most of his material, but my favorite has always been 'Cuts Like A Knife'... :)

Ok, I love "Summber of '69" but when I was a kid my favourite was "Everything I Do..." mostly because I was a Robin Hood fanatic and the video was at the end of the VHS copy of Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves with Kevin Costner.

But another one of my faves is "Have you really ever loved a woman"

"...when you love a woman, you tell her that she's really wanted,
when you love a woman, you tell her that she's the one,
'cause she needs somebody to tell her that it's gonna last forever,
so tell me have you ever really, really really ever loved a woman"

Thanks for all the info.  The first Bryan Adams song I ever heard is also my favorite:  "Lonely Nights"

Nothing to do with Bryan Adams, but I notice your new avatar and I think it's cool. The Petro-Canada logo, it's clever.
