My favorite show from the 80's is Seinfeld. (it began the summer of 1989). But since it really gained it's popularity in the 90's, and most people consider it a 90's show, I will choose Cheers.

I can't wait until it comes to DVD. I don't really understand why it's not out already. Newhart was an MTM production, and many MTM shows (Mary Tyler Moore Show, Bob Newhart Show, White Shadow, Hill Street Blues, St. Elsewhere, Remington Steele, WKRP) are already on DVD
