I prefer the Sammy Hagar years. Not a big fan of Sammy since Montrose, but at least he brought extra talent into the band.  All David Lee Roth knew how to do was jump around.

Yeah he jumped around a bunch but he WAS sexy.  By the time they got to Hagar they mellowed a bit, were all bloated from alcohol and had to resort to spelling out the sex appeal via "For Unlawful Carnal Knowledge".

It would seem that I have been listening to theright stuff however the idea of AIR SUPPLY and STYX will be something to persue. Thanks people further ideas welcomed

I want to avoid doing one of those 1-10 opinionpolls as I may miss out out on hearing of a truly greatband that I hadnt heard of, so I shall leave this open to subjective opinion .

    I'll tell you which band comes the closest to being the greatest rock band of ALL time, I'm totally serious.  Forget everything you've read before...

  AC/DC.  Everything before Brian Johnson is the best of the best.  They have not recorded a bad song.  They're, like, freakin' rock gods or something.  It's weird how a band can be so effin' awesome.  They're not human.  I still have trouble believing it.  It's definately a miracle.  Nobody kicks your ass like AC/DC does.  Jesus loves us...
