Subject: Loverboy Faves

One of the reasons I like Loverboy's songs is because they seemed to have a good blend of hard rock and new wave synth pop - I will cast my vote for "The Kid is Hot Tonight" and "In Your Eyes". 8)

Gosh they're so cheesy, even by MY standards. ;D
That's true about them being like a cross between synthpop and hair metal in a way. Not a big fan in general, but I do like "Queen of the Broken Hearts" (a good example of their more dancey style) and "This Could be the Night" (a nice fluffy power ballad I could see coming from someone like Survivor).
P.S. Believe it or not, I never even knew about them until the early 2000s. The only song I knew associated with them before this was Mike Reno's duet with Ann Wilson "Almost Paradise" (from Footloose) and I did like that.

In Australia I've only heard the first two. I choose 'Turn Me Loose' (sung with head band on).

I like that song. I think that's the only song that I remember. I'm afraid that I don't know any songs after that.

I am shocked - SHOCKED! - that "Lucky Ones" isn't on the list.
My top 2 would be 1. Turn Me Loose and 2. Lucky Ones
(cool site - just discovered this!)

I can't just pick 2. I really like Working for the Weekend, Turn me Loose, When it's Over, & Lovin' Every Minute of it.
I saw them in concert back in 1985(?) '86(?). I still have the ticket stub somewhere around here.
