I don't remember if I've asked about this one before, but I'm still searching... and if anyone has any Wishbooks from the 80's, you might be able to find it. I'm looking for a toy, I guess it was probably given some sort of "Spy" name because it was this satalite dish looking thing that you would hold up, pointing it at something far away that you wanted to hear. you wore headphones to hear the sound it was picking up... it really worked, but unforunately I remember it breaking the same day I got it... I would love to see this again...does anyone have any ideas??

That's pretty close!! Actually, that's the same basic toy, I guess mine was just an 80's version. I don't know if I'll ever find the same one... but this might be as good as it gets :) THanks!!!

No problem!
I found a lot of entries about an 80's one, but no pictures. This is what a lot of people were calling it, so I looked it up and this is what I got.
Another one they were talking about is a Parabolic ear - but it is way more hightech than it could have been as a toy in the 80's! :o

There is a scene from the movie Earth Girls are Easy where the nosey neighbor uses something like you describe.
The movie came out in 1988. I don't remember what it was called.
