I was thinking more like songs that came from an 80s soundtracks.  If you could make your own soundtrack of songs that came from a soundtrack (ie: Footloose by Kenny Loggins, which was from the movie Footloose)

But it's all good

Does it have to be from the movie itself, or can they be older songs used for the soundtrack too? Here's mine (some were ones I liked back then, and some I only discovered more recently):

The Power of Love - Huey Lewis
Let's Hear it for the Boy - Deniece Williams
What a Wonderful World - Louis Armstrong
The Touch - Stan Bush (from Transformers)
Two Hearts - Phil Collins
What a Feeling - Irene Cara
Somebody's Baby - Jackson Browne
Nothing's Gonna Stop Us - Starship
Ghostbusters
Almost Paradise - Mike Reno and Ann Wilson
I'm Free - Kenny Loggins
anything from The Big Chill, esp "My Girl" or "Good Lovin"
Turning Around - Jimmy Buffett (from Summer Rental)
Say You Say Me - Lionel Richie
I'm Gonna Be Somebody (from Police Academy)
Braveheart - Gary Chapman (from Ernest Goes to Camp)
Burning Heart - Survivor
One Foot Back in Your Door - Roman Holliday (from a movie called Teachers)

There's more, but that's some of my basic faves. :)
