I don't remember the genre being called hip-hop back then.  You had "rap", you had "R&B", and you had "house"...

I'm Chillin' -- Kurtis Blow (1986)
Buffalo Stance -- Neneh Cherry (1989)

To Be or Not to Be -- Mel Brooks & Pete Wingfield (1983) (Its good music by Pete "18 with a bullet" Wingfield)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yu2NqfISm9k

Going Back To Cali -- LL Cool J (1989)
Mary,Mary -- Run-D.M.C. (1988) (The Monkees,1967)

I do not believe "The Roof Is On Fire" is not Grandmaster Flash.  It is actually Rockmaster Scott and the Dynamic Three.

You get an "E" for Effort and a "T" for nice Try.  Props for the other songs.

Public Enemy - Your Gonna Get Yours
Ultramaagnetic MC's - Ego Trippin'
Bid Daddy Kane - Raw
LL Cool J - I Can't Live Without My Radio

I listened and I'll pass on it.
Now that I think about, I think Mel Brooks and his Hitler Rap is the best '80s rap song of them all.
