Subject: 80's movie candy (Fruit chew???)

I remember going to the movies in the 80's and I always got the same candy from the counter. I can't remember the name though.
Seems like it came in a white plastic bag and each piece was wrapped in a foil-type wrapper in the color of the fruit. Purple, red, etc. These were fruit chews, kinda square in shape and soft.
Not now'n'laters, not mambas, not starbursts, not bonkers, nothing mainstream. I can't google them either. Any ideas?
I would know them if I heard the name or saw the package.
