Subject: Bruce Hornsby - ahead of his time?

Written By: Marty McFly on 09/27/09 at 12:40 pm

Not sure if anyone else is a fan. I love "Every Little Kiss" and "Valley Road" (in fact, that whole The Way it is album is really good), but I was thinking how it doesn't really fit with 1987 besides being catchy, lol. It sounds like mellow 90s alternative or adult contemporary. I think he could've fit in alongside stuff like the Counting Crows or Del Amitri really well. His songs are more serious, so that's probably another part of it.

My brother has a lot of Bruce Hornsby stuff and it's always great listening for car journeys. Even his 00s stuff is nice. Not sure of the titles of the ones I like, except for the usual "The Way It Is".

I like Bruce Hornsby, who incidentally got his big break backing Huey Lewis and the News, yeah his music is nice to listen to. At least that which I have heard is nice!  ;)
