As much as I LOVE High Fidelity, (I was an extra in that movie!) ..it actually takes place in the 90s, with a couple flashback to the 80s and 70s tossed in there.

One that comes to mind for me is "The Wedding Singer", a 90's movie which is set in the mid-1980s.

The Wedding Singer gets my vote.

The Wedding Singer gets my vote.

I voted for that one too. I also noticed "Romy & Michele's High School Reunion" (which I also saw) on the list; that one also looks back on the 80's (since that's when the title characters graduated), but I didn't quite enjoy that one as much.

"High Fidelity" is a great film, but it's a little to close to comfort for me!

"No Country for Old Men" (2006) takes place in the '80s!
