Subject: Did people use profanity often in the eighties?

Written By: youngerderek on 04/04/11 at 5:25 pm

Today it's thrown around like nothing. In the eighties, did people use it more rarely? Or did people use it all the time, it just wasn't as censored?

Yeah, kids did, just not around parents, relatives, school staff, or any authority figure.  If I inadvertently dropped an f-bomb on my aunt, I was dead...

  Adults swearing?  As usual...

You weren't even alive... How can you even contribute to this discussion!  If you are going to start a debate topic, I would suggest you know both sides of the subject so you can contribute to the debate.  This makes you look like a pot stirrer...

LOL  ok Karma to you....  You are right, it just sounded like a way to start controversy and sneak out the back door; weather intentional or not (some people thrive on controversy). 8)

I know I swore like a m*ther f*cker in the 80's.
These days, now that I'm grown, not so much.
I think swearing has more to do with ones mentality then the decade they were born.

O0  I can see that... I know my Husband will swear a LOT more if he is with certain friends, than if he is not - BAD influences, those friends ;)
