The uploader of that video has made it not available for viewing in my country, but I have seen the Money For Nothing video many times

The singer is a Hungarian named Patko Bela, who was the lead vocalist of a Hungarian pop band called Eslo Emelet, which means First Floor in English, which is that video 'Baby Baby' by First Floor

Not sure who the woman is, but I am guessing she is Sally.  The Ian Pearson Band is not real.  Ian Pearson was one of the animators

Thanks! I found this:

A fan-made video based on the scenes from "Money For Nothing". I don't understand the language but I like the song btw.

On Wikipedia they say this video really *does* exist unlike the "Sally" one:
The Hungarian pop band Első Emelet and their video "Állj Vagy Lövök" ("Stop or I'll Shoot") appears as "Baby, Baby" by "First Floor"

There is also a video to the English language version of Állj Vagy Lövök, but it's not as MTV-friendly and pollished as the original video.

As the fan-made video states this was probably filmed shortly before or after the footage used in "Money For Nothing":

Now when I think about, those guys could've made it big... if they were American, or UK based or at least spoke/performed in English.
They do look somewhat Duran Duran-ish and the sound of their songs is typically 80's pop/rock. I also think their video "Állj Vagy Lövök" looks so MTV-friendly. No wonder Dire Straits chose it to be included in their own video. I bet watching the "Money For Nothing" video without the First Floor part makes it look incomplete (although the pretty Hungarian model is still there in the censored version :D).

I think the "Baby, Baby" video has to be one of the best 80's videos. It has all the stuff that made some 80's pop/rock videos cool: big hair, warm/vivid/soft colors, movie-like softness of the image, split screen, (fake?) keyboard, (hexagonal) drum kit, a muscle shirt and some nice sunlight. The only thing missing for it to be a perfect video is some hot girl with poofy hair. But who knows, probably the full-length video did include a girl or two? ;)

I hope the full-length video survives somewhere and it gets uploaded on YouTube sometime. I hope that there are Hungarians reading this board. :)

Some new trivia about the Money For Nothing music video:

*The "Baby Baby" bit was filmed on the roof of the Budapest Congress Center.
*The "Sally" bit with the girl was filmed at the Fisherman's Bastion, also in Budapest.
*The name of the girl in lingerie is Renáta Szatler. Some Hungarian sources claim that she and Mark Knopfler slept together during 'Dire Straits' tour in Budapest and that's the reason she was in the video, but I guess that's just gossip.
She starred in some Hungarian movies and in the early 1990s turned to porn. Here are some screen caps of a 1991 movie:

(18+)  :P

Looks like she got on the plump side.
