It did - it's not a parody - which was the whole joke. Written, directed & produced by Adam Yauch (aka, the late MCA). The list of celebrities doing cameos at t=24:55 is pretty impressive too.
I wonder if any surviving members will make good on "Check back in 25 years". They'll be in their 70s by 2036, but with a little computer help, that's no real barrier to creating music.

This has been a really cruddy month, being that Adam Yauch and Donna Summer, died all in the same month. And to top it off, Levon Helm died the month before that.
