Who remembers this educational PBS show from the late 80's (and possibly early 90's)?

The intro:

Mathman (Pacman parody)

I used to watch it after school with my cousins.  It was always enjoyable.  Lots of great memories!

I remember it, but didn't watch it very much, since we didn't get good reception on PBS where we were living at the time. But it had some great concepts.

I always thought it was funny how, after Mathman got an answer wrong and the tornado guy started chasing him, he'd start saying "Mathman! Mathman!" in a more panicky voice. Also I never noticed this before, but for some reason Mathman is wearing a Michigan Wolverines football helmet.

Square One also had a segment called Mathnet that was a parody of Dragnet, and I remember I had kind of a thing for Kate Monday.  ;D

The story you are about to see is a fib, but it's short.
The names are made up, but the problems are real.

You must have been so ticked when they replaced her with Pat Tuesday!
Of course, my favorite character entered after they moved the show to NYC, what was that cabbie's name?

Right now, all I can think of are other sketch characters like Fax Headfull and Spade Parade.

Your Pal,
Doc

It's been 18 years since it went off the air, It would be nice to see it back sometime in the future.
