I never played video games in the '80s. We had an intellivision in the early '80s and the only game I can remember from it was a game called "Burger time" lol. Then later on when the NES came out I remember the Super Mario Brothers video game but I wasn't into it and never played. I started playing video games in the '90s.

punch-out used to scare the crap out of me when mike tyson came out. lol! but it was an awesome game... it reminded me of anime when they would get punched in the face. :)

i like many of the classics (super mario bros, legend of zelda, pac man, tetris, etc) ...

but i really like frogger, donkey kong, and street fighter. ^___^

My avatar obviously agrees with you. ;)

But seriously though, SMB 1 absolutely has to top any list of the top '80s games. After all, no other game from the decade (nor any decade for that matter) can actually boast that it helped revive the entire industry from a crash that nearly killed it. The video game industry might have made it through the Crash of 1983 without SMB, but luckily we'll never have to find out.

And of course, it's still just as fun to play today as it ever was, even after almost 30 years.

The Addams Family

That game is not 80s.  It is 1991.  It even says so just before the title screen (0:02) in that video
